We are now in the midst of March Madness and if you're like me,  your bracket looks like an etch a sketch. But in the immortal words of Vince Lombardi, or maybe it was Joe down at the pool hall,  "win or lose,  we booze". And of course both Vince and Joe's beverage of choice was wine.  So in the spirit of Easter, resurrect your spirits with an ample supply of wine.  Peter Cottontail will be happy to deliver your easter basket filled with all the colorful bottles you need,  and he won't even hide them in the yard. Remember,  Lent ends Thursday,  and many of you have some catching up to do! Bottoms up!

It is now time for that yearly celebration of St Patrick's Day.  The day celebrates the patron saint of Ireland who successfully drove out those "snakey" druids for refusing to drink wine! So belly up to the bar and pour yourself a pint of traditional Irish cheer. ...wine! Remember you get a free pass on this day from your lenten obligations,  so eat, drink and be merry! And let March Madness ensue.

And in honor of the Irish Patron saint of wearing green and getting falling down drunk. ..a St Patrick's day limerick

There once was a man from Nantucket,  

who preferred his wine from a bucket,  

but this practice made waste,  

too much spilt not to taste, 

 so he put in a bottle and sucked it!  

No more wine crimes...

Shakespeare's soothsayer knew what Caesar didn't. ...if you don't give the people what they want,  WINE,  even your most loyal friends (Brutus)will disavow you leading to the famous quote,  "et tu, Brute?"  Roughly translated means " ...all you wanted was some more brut champagne...why didn't you say so? "  Avoid Caeser's fate...give the people their wine. And to think it took Edward Gibbon 6 volumes to figure out the reason for the decline of the Roman Empire. ..just two words. ...more wine.

Make America Great

Good morning Antoinette, 

Now that super Tuesday has come and gone, and the political theater has moved on for the time being. ..it's time to "Make America Great Again" and drink more wine.  "Feel the Bern" of a super Tuscan, or "Reignite the Promise of America"n cabs.
