According to Stephen Hawking, leap year is a year containing one additional day added to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical or seasonal year. Bacchus and I believe it's an extra day for drinking wine and February's quadrennial gift to mankind to escape the doldrums of winter by imbibing the fruit of the gods.
